Bhutanese have taken pride to make their own paper over the many hundred years. Locally known as Tsasho or Deaesho, papering make has been an art and tradition for many families. The Bhutanese while using the age old traditions of making these paper and they have created many varieties of paper and its products to meet the present day demands.
Originally these papers were mainly used in the temples for scriptures, by noble families for wrapping gifts and presents, for doucmentation, paper mesh masks, statues etc. It had its great use. These papers are moth and insect proof, documents and sciptures of few hundred years have been found intact still.
